Passkeys and Biometrics Are Replacing Password Fatigue
Passwordless sign-in is becoming normal because it is easier for users and harder for phishing pages to steal.
Passwords have carried too much responsibility for too long. People reuse them, forget them, save them unsafely and fall for fake login pages.
A passkey uses cryptography tied to your device and account. Instead of typing a reusable secret into a website, you approve sign-in with a fingerprint, face unlock, PIN or device confirmation.
This makes phishing much harder because there is no normal password for a fake page to capture. It also reduces account recovery problems for businesses.
Whenever a major service offers passkeys, turning them on is one of the best low-effort security upgrades available.
